Devex Systems offers four types of electric underfloor heating systems: in-screed, in-slab, under timber or embedded in tile adhesive. The Cable is designed to be used either in-screed, in-slab or under timber. CABLE INSTALLATION – IN SLAB VS IN SCREED The Cable is used in two storage heating options installations: In Slab or In Screed. In slab storage heating is suitable for one room or the whole house and provides economical warmth. It can be installed under just about any floor covering available including carpet, timber, tiles, stone as well as polished and tinted concrete floors. In screed demand heating can be installed under most floor coverings including carpet, timber, tiles and stone. However, cables need to be embedded into- 20-25mm thick sand and cement screed bed.
